Section 268 — Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024: Requesting reasons for reviewable decision from decision-maker

(1) A person whose interests are affected by a reviewable decision may request the decision-maker to give the person a statement of reasons for the decision. Note 1: For which decisions are reviewable decisions, see section 12. Note 2: For when an organisation’s or association’s interests are taken to be affected, see section 15. Note 3: For what must be included in a statement of reasons, see the definition of statement of reasons in section 4. (2) The request must be given to the decision-maker in writing. Note: Requests may be refused if made outside specified timeframes (see subsection 269(8)).
