Section 143 — Bankruptcy Act 1966: Provision to be made for creditors residing at a distance etc.

In the calculation and distribution of a dividend, the trustee shall make provision for: (a) debts provable in bankruptcy appearing from the bankrupt’s statement of affairs or otherwise to be due to persons resident in places so distant from the place where the trustee is acting that in the ordinary course of communication those persons would not have had sufficient time to lodge their proofs of debt; and (b) debts provable in bankruptcy in respect of which proofs of debt have been lodged but have not been admitted.
