Section 263A — Bankruptcy Act 1966: False affidavits

A person who intentionally makes a false statement in an affidavit to be used for the purposes of this Act commits an offence and is punishable: (a) upon summary conviction—by imprisonment for a period not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding 2 penalty units, or both; or (b) upon conviction on indictment—by imprisonment for a period not exceeding 4 years.
