Section 132K — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Copy of notices under this Division to be given to suppliers

(1) If the Commonwealth Minister: (a) issues a proposed ban notice; or (b) issues a proposed recall notice; or (c) publishes a notice under subsection 132E(2); or (d) publishes a notice under subsection 132J(1) or (2); he or she must cause a copy of the notice to be given to each person who, to the knowledge of the Commonwealth Minister, supplies the consumer goods, or the product related services, to which the notice relates. (2) The copy must be given: (a) within 2 days after the publication or issue of the notice; or (b) if it is not practicable to give the copy within that period—as soon as practicable after the end of that period. (3) A failure to comply with subsection (1) does not invalidate the notice.
