Section 135B — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Inspector may ask questions and seek production of documents

Entry with consent etc. (1) If an inspector enters premises because the occupier of the premises consents to the entry or in the circumstances referred to in paragraph 135(3)(c), the inspector may ask the occupier to: (a) answer any questions relating to the reasons for the inspector entering the premises that are put by the inspector; and (b) produce any document relating to the reasons for the inspector entering the premises that is requested by the inspector. Entry under a search warrant (2) If an inspector enters premises under a search warrant, the inspector may require any person on the premises to: (a) answer any questions relating to the reasons for the inspector entering the premises that are put by the inspector; and (b) produce any document relating to the reasons for the inspector entering the premises that is requested by the inspector.
