Section 135J — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Details of search warrant etc. must be given to the occupier of the premises

If: (a) a search warrant is being executed in relation to premises; and (b) the occupier of the premises, or another person who apparently represents the occupier, is present at the premises; an inspector executing the warrant must, as soon as practicable: (c) do one of the following: (i) if the warrant was issued under section 135Z—make a copy of the warrant available to the occupier or other person (which need not include the signature of the judge who issued it); (ii) if the warrant was signed under section 136—make a copy of the form of warrant completed under subsection 136(7) available to the occupier or other person; and (d) inform the occupier or other person of the rights and responsibilities of the occupier or other person under Subdivision C.
