Section 151AB — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Definitions

In this Part, unless the contrary intention appears: anti-competitive conduct has the meaning given by section 151AJ. carriage service has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. carriage service provider has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. carrier has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. carrier licence has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. competition notice means: (a) a Part A competition notice; or (b) a Part B competition notice. competition rule means the rule set out in section 151AK. content service has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. data processing device means any article or material (for example, a disk) from which information is capable of being reproduced, with or without the aid of any other article or device. disclosure direction means a direction under subsection 151BUB(2), 151BUC(2), 151BUDB(2) or 151BUDC(2). eligible partnership has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. exemption order means an order under section 151BA. facility has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. Federal Court means the Federal Court of Australia. listed carriage service has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. Ministerially-directed report has the meaning given by section 151BUAA. NBN corporation has the same meaning as in the National Broadband Network Companies Act 2011. Part A competition notice means a notice issued under subsection 151AKA(1) or (2). Part B competition notice means a notice issued under subsection 151AL(1). person includes a partnership. Note: Section 151CH sets out additional rules about partnerships. record-keeping rule means a rule under section 151BU. service provider rule has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Act 1997. telecommunications market has the meaning given by section 151AF.
