Section 154S — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Copies of seized things to be provided

(1) If, under a search warrant relating to premises, the executing officer or an officer assisting seizes: (a) a document, film, computer file or other thing that can be readily copied; or (b) a storage device the information in which can be readily copied; then he or she must, if requested to do so by the occupier of the premises, give a copy of the thing or the information to the occupier as soon as practicable after the seizure. (2) However, subsection (1) does not apply if possession of the document, film, computer file, thing or information by the occupier could constitute an offence against a law of the Commonwealth.
