Section 155AAAA — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Power to obtain information, documents and evidence—delegation

(1) This section applies in relation to a function or power of any of the following (the delegator) under section 155: (a) the Commission; (b) the Chairperson; (c) a Deputy Chairperson; (d) a member of the Commission. (2) The delegator may, in writing, delegate any or all of the delegator’s functions or powers under section 155 to a member of the staff of the Commission who is an SES employee or an acting SES employee. (3) The delegator may delegate a function or power to a person under subsection (2) only if the delegator is satisfied that the person has appropriate qualifications, training or experience to perform the function or exercise the power. (4) In performing a delegated function or exercising a delegated power, the delegate must comply with any written directions of the delegator.
