Section 200 — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Notification by persons who supply consumer goods outside Australia if there is compulsory recall

Text of the provision Official document

(1) A person commits an offence if: (a) the person is required by section 125(4) to give a copy of a notice to a responsible Minister; and (b) the person refuses or fails to give the copy as required by that section. Penalty: (a) if the person is a body corporate—$16,650; or (b) if the person is not a body corporate—$3,330. (2) Subsection (1) is an offence of strict liability.
