Section 247 — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Adverse publicity orders

(1) A court may, on application of the regulator, make an adverse publicity order in relation to a person who: (a) has contravened a provision of Part 2-2 or 2-3 or Chapter 3; or (b) has committed an offence against Chapter 4. (2) An adverse publicity order in relation to a person is an order that requires the person: (a) to disclose, in the way and to the persons specified in the order, such information as is so specified, being information that the person has possession of or access to; and (b) to publish, at the person’s expense and in the way specified in the order, an advertisement in the terms specified in, or determined in accordance with, the order. (3) This section does not limit a court’s powers under any other provision of this Schedule.
