Section 51ABJ — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Meaning of Chapter 6 entity

(1) A Chapter 6 entity is: (a) a listed company (within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001); or (b) an unlisted company with more than 50 members (within the meaning of that Act); or (c) a listed registered scheme (within the meaning of that Act). (2) In determining whether a company has more than 50 members for the purposes of paragraph (1)(b), count joint holders of a particular parcel of shares as 1 person. (3) A reference in sections 603, 604 and 605A of the Corporations Act 2001 to Chapter 6 of that Act is taken to include a reference to: (a) subsections (1) and (2) of this section; and (b) Subdivision B of Division 2 of this Part; and (c) Subdivision D of Division 6 of this Part.
