Section 51ABR — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Classes of acquisitions that are required to be notified—Commission reports

(1) Before making an instrument under subsection 51ABQ(1), the Minister may ask the Commission to analyse the matters in paragraphs 51ABQ(3)(a) to (c) in relation to the instrument. (2) If the Minister does so: (a) the Commission must: (i) analyse the matters; and (ii) give to the Minister a written report of its analysis; and (b) the Minister must cause the report to be published on the Department’s website; and (c) the Minister must not make the instrument earlier than 60 days after the report is published. (3) This section does not limit: (a) subsection 51ABQ(4) of this Act; or (b) section 17 of the Legislation Act 2003 (consultation requirements).
