Section 52ZIB — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Rules about conduct of mediation

(1) The regulations may set out rules relating to the conduct of a mediation under this Subdivision. (2) A mediation under this Subdivision is to be conducted according to those rules. (3) Despite subsection 14(2) of the Legislation Act 2003, regulations made for the purposes of subsection (1) may make provision in relation to a matter by applying, adopting or incorporating, with or without modification, any matter contained in an instrument or other writing as in force or existing from time to time. (4) Without limiting the scope of regulations that may be made for the purposes of subsection (1), those regulations may: (a) set out rules relating to the payment of the costs of the mediator; and (b) without limiting the scope of paragraph (a), specify who is to pay those costs.
