Section 52ZZO — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: No Ministerial directions to the ACMA in relation to this Part

(1) Section 14 of the Australian Communications and Media Authority Act 2005 does not apply in relation to the performance of the ACMA’s functions, or the exercise of the ACMA’s powers, under: (a) this Part; or (b) Part 13 of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992, as it applies in relation to this Part because 52ZZN of this Act. (2) Subsection (3) applies for the purposes of applying Part 13 (the applied Part) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 in relation to this Part in accordance with section 52ZZN of this Act. (3) Disregard any provision in the applied Part to extent that the provision allows the Minister (within the meaning of the provision) to give a direction to the ACMA that relates to the performance of the ACMA’s functions, or the exercise of the ACMA’s powers, under this Part.
