Section 56GAA — Competition and Consumer Act 2010: Delegation by the Minister or the Secretary

Delegation by the Minister of functions or powers relating to voluntary action service providers (1A) The Minister may, in writing, delegate all or any of the Minister’s functions or powers included: (a) as described in paragraph 56BHA(1)(j); and (b) in the consumer data rules; to an SES employee, or an acting SES employee, in the Department or in the Commission. Note: Sections 34AA to 34A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 contain provisions relating to delegations. (1B) In performing a delegated function or exercising a delegated power, the delegate must comply with any written directions of the Minister. Delegation by the Secretary (1) The Secretary of the Department may, in writing, delegate all or any of the Secretary’s functions or powers under this Part to an SES employee, or an acting SES employee, in the Department.
