Section 1040B — Corporations Act 2001: Treat certain instruments as if they were financial products and Division 3 financial products

(1) This Part applies to bank accepted bills, and to negotiable certificates of deposit, as if they were: (a) financial products; and (b) Division 3 financial products. (2) If a term used in this Part is defined outside of this Part by reference to financial products, treat that term when used in this Part as if that reference to financial products included a reference to each of the following: (a) bank accepted bills; (b) negotiable certificates of deposit. (3) Subsections (1) and (2) do not, by implication, affect the interpretation of any other provision: (a) of this Act; or (b) of an instrument made under this Act.
