Section 1058A — Corporations Act 2001: Authorised use or disclosure of information

(1) An AFCA staff member may use or disclose information or documents obtained by an AFCA staff member under or for the purposes of this Part if: (a) the use or disclosure is for the purposes of: (i) this Part; or (ii) Part 7.10B; or (iii) the Financial Services Compensation Scheme of Last Resort Levy Act 2023; or (iv) the Financial Services Compensation Scheme of Last Resort Levy (Collection) Act 2023; or (b) the use or disclosure is to the CSLR operator for the purposes of assisting the CSLR operator to perform its functions or exercise its powers. (2) In this section: use or disclosure, for information or documents, includes making a record of the information, disclosing the information, producing the document or permitting access to the document.
