Section 1071E — Corporations Act 2001: Notice of refusal to register transfer

If a company refuses to register a transfer of a security of the company, it must, within 2 months after the date on which the transfer was lodged with it, give the transferee notice of the refusal. Note: Failure to comply with this section is an offence (see subsection 1311(1)).
