Section 1221 — Corporations Act 2001: Objects of this Chapter

The objects of this Chapter are: (a) to provide a regulatory framework for corporate collective investment vehicles that is fair, efficient and competitive; and (b) together with Chapter 7, to promote confident and informed decision making by consumers of financial products and services related to shares in corporate collective investment vehicles.
