Section 178AA — Corporations Act 2001: Overseas branch registers—Australian passport funds

(1) An Australian passport fund may keep a branch register of members of the fund outside Australia. (2) If an Australian passport fund keeps an overseas branch register under subsection (1): (a) the fund must keep the branch register in the same manner as this Act requires the fund to keep the register kept under section 169 (the principal register); and (b) the fund must enter in the principal register the details contained in the branch register; and (c) the fund must distinguish interests that are registered in the branch register from the interests registered in the principal register.
