Section 912E — Corporations Act 2001: Surveillance checks by ASIC

(1) A financial services licensee and its representatives must give such assistance to ASIC, or a person authorised by ASIC, as ASIC or the authorised person reasonably requests in relation to whether the licensee and its representatives are complying with the financial services laws, and in relation to the performance of ASIC’s other functions. Note: Failure to comply with this subsection is an offence (see subsection 1311(1)). (2) Such assistance may include showing ASIC the licensee’s books or giving ASIC other information.
