Section 140A — Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999: No approval for certain nuclear installations

Text of the provision Official document

(1) The Minister must not approve an action consisting of or involving the construction or operation of any of the following nuclear installations: (a) a nuclear fuel fabrication plant; (b) a nuclear power plant; (c) an enrichment plant; (d) a reprocessing facility. (2) Paragraph (1)(b) does not apply to a naval nuclear propulsion plant related to use in a conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarine.
