Section 240 — Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999: Contravening conditions of a permit

The holder of a permit commits an offence punishable upon conviction by a fine not exceeding 300 penalty units if: (a) he or she does, or fails to do, an act or thing; and (b) doing, or failing to do, the act or thing results in a contravention of a condition of the permit. Note: Chapter 2 of the Criminal Code sets out the general principles of criminal responsibility.
