Section 311 — Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999: Commonwealth, State and Territory laws

Text of the provision Official document

(1) A provision of a conservation agreement has no effect to the extent (if any) to which it is inconsistent with a law of the Commonwealth, or of a State or Territory. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), a provision of a conservation agreement is not taken to be inconsistent with a law of the Commonwealth, or of a State or Territory, if both the provision and the law are capable of being complied with.
