Section 353 — Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999: Simplified outline of this Subdivision

The following is a simplified outline of this Subdivision: Many works cannot be carried out in a Commonwealth reserve unless permitted by a management plan. If there is not a management plan in force for a reserve, it must be managed in a way appropriate for the category it has been assigned to by a Proclamation or an earlier management plan. Regulations can be made to control activities in reserves. People who have rights relating to an area that is later included in a reserve can continue to exercise those rights in the reserve.
