Section 498 — Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999: Minister may publicise contraventions of this Act or the regulations

(1) The Minister may publicise, in any way he or she thinks appropriate, a contravention of this Act or the regulations for which a person has been convicted or ordered to pay a pecuniary penalty. (2) This Division does not: (a) limit the Minister’s powers to publicise a contravention of this Act or the regulations; or (b) prevent anyone else from publicising a contravention of this Act or the regulations; or (c) affect any obligation (however imposed) on anyone to publicise a contravention of this Act or the regulations.
