Section 517 — Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999: Determinations of species

(1) The Minister may, by legislative instrument, determine that a distinct population of biological entities is a species for the purposes of this Act. (3) A determination does not apply for the purposes of Part 13A. (4) Subsection (3) does not affect the meaning of the expression listed threatened species when used in Part 13A.
