Section 571 — Fair Work Act 2009: No imprisonment for failure to pay pecuniary penalty

(1) A court (including a court of a State or Territory) may not order a person to serve a sentence of imprisonment if the person fails to pay a pecuniary penalty imposed under this Act. (2) This section applies despite any other law of the Commonwealth, a State or a Territory.
