Section 584 — Fair Work Act 2009: Delegation of functions and powers of the President

(1) The President may, in writing, delegate to a Vice President or a Deputy President all or any of the President’s functions or powers, other than under: (aa) paragraph 581A(1)(b) (which deals with taking measures to maintain public confidence in the FWC); or (a) section 620 (which deals with the constitution and decision-making of an Expert Panel); or (b) section 625 (which deals with the delegation of functions and powers of the FWC). (2) In performing functions or exercising powers under a delegation, the delegate must comply with any directions of the President. Note: See also sections 34AA and 34AB of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.
