Section 65X — Family Law Act 1975: Interpretation

(1) In this Subdivision: parenting order to which this Subdivision applies means a parenting order to the extent to which it provides, or would provide, that: (a) a child is to live with a person; or (b) a child is to spend time with a person; or (c) a child is to communicate with a person; or (d) a person is to have parental responsibility for a child. (2) For the purposes of this Subdivision, if an appeal against a decision of a court in proceedings has been instituted and is pending, the proceedings are taken to be pending and sections 65Z, 65ZAA and 65ZB (rather than sections 65Y, 65YA and 65ZA) apply.
