Section 90SO — Family Law Act 1975: Notifying third parties about application

The applicable Rules of Court may specify the circumstances in which a person who: (a) applies for an order under this Division; or (b) is a party to a proceeding for an order under this Division; is to give notice of the application to a person who is not a party to the proceedings. Note: The applicable Rules of Court may, for example, make provision for the notification of a person married to, or in a de facto relationship with, the applicant or respondent to the proceedings.
