Section 206 — National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013: Alternative constitutional basis

(1) Without limiting its effect apart from this subsection, this Act also has the effect it would have if its operation were expressly confined to: (a) the provision of pharmaceutical, sickness or hospital benefits; or (b) the provision of medical services or dental services (without any form of civil conscription). (2) Without limiting its effect apart from this subsection, this Act also has the effect it would have if its operation were expressly confined to acts, matters or things occurring in, or in relation to, a Territory or a place acquired by the Commonwealth for a public purpose. (4) Without limiting its effect apart from this subsection, this Act also has the effect it would have if its operation were expressly confined to acts, matters or things in relation to communication by means of a postal, telegraphic, telephonic or other like service (within the meaning of paragraph 51(v) of the Constitution). (5) Without limiting its effect apart from this subsection, this Act also has the effect it would have if its operation were expressly confined to acts, matters or things in relation to census and statistics (within the meaning of paragraph 51(xi) of the Constitution). (7) Without limiting its effect apart from this subsection, this Act also has the effect it would have if its operation were expressly confined to acts, matters or things in relation to: (a) the Commonwealth; or (b) an authority of the Commonwealth.
