Section 28 — National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013: When a person becomes a participant

(1) A person becomes a participant in the National Disability Insurance Scheme on the day the CEO decides that the person meets the access criteria. (2) The CEO must give written notice of the decision to the participant, stating: (a) the date on which the person became a participant; and (b) whichever of the following applies: (i) that the CEO is satisfied the participant meets the early intervention requirements; (ii) that the CEO is satisfied the participant meets the disability requirements; (iii) that the CEO is satisfied the participant meets both the early intervention requirements and the disability requirements.
