Section 118 — Paid Parental Leave Act 2010: Power to obtain information from a person who owes a debt to the Commonwealth

The Secretary may require a person who owes a debt to the Commonwealth under or because of this Act: (a) either to: (i) give to a specified agency information that is relevant to the person’s financial situation; or (ii) produce to a specified agency a document that is relevant to the person’s financial situation; and (b) if the person’s address changes—to inform the specified agency of the new address within 14 days after the change. Note: The agency specified must be a PPL agency (see subsection 120(4)).
