Section 132 — Paid Parental Leave Act 2010: Offence—offering to supply protected information

(1) A person commits an offence if: (a) the person offers to supply (whether to a particular person or otherwise) information about another person; and (b) the information is protected information. Penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years. (2) A person commits an offence if: (a) the person holds himself or herself out as being able to supply (whether to a particular person or otherwise) information about another person; and (b) the information is protected information. Penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years. (3) Nothing in subsection (1) or (2) makes an officer acting in the performance or exercise of his or her powers, duties or functions under this Act guilty of an offence.
