Section 280 — Paid Parental Leave Act 2010: Appointment of payment nominee

(1) The Secretary may, in writing: (a) appoint a person (including a body corporate) to be the payment nominee of another person for the purposes of parental leave pay; and (b) direct that the whole or a specified part of an instalment payable by the Secretary to the nominee’s PPL under Part 3-3 be paid to the nominee. Note: The Secretary must make the appointment in accordance with section 282. (2) An appointment or a direction made under subsection (1) is not a legislative instrument.
