Section 299 — Paid Parental Leave Act 2010: Extension of Act to persons who are not employees and employers

(1) The PPL rules or the regulations may provide that the Secretary may make an employer determination under Part 3-5 for persons who are in a relationship that is similar to the relationship between an employer and an employee. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the PPL rules or the regulations may modify (including by adding, omitting or substituting) any provision of this Act in relation to persons provided for in accordance with subsection (1) by the PPL rules or the regulations.
