Section 1061ZZCX — Social Security Act 1991: Effect of notice

(1) If the Secretary gives a notice under section 1061ZZCW to the person and the corporation, then, unless the decision on the review is set aside or varied after a further review under Chapter 6, the following provisions have effect. (2) From the time when the notice is given to the corporation, the corporation is discharged from liability to make further payments to the person under the contract. (3) However, if the corporation continues to make payments to the person after that time, any amounts paid after the end of 4 weeks after the day on which the notice is given to the corporation: (a) are taken not to be payments of financial supplement made under the contract; and (b) are repayable by the person to the corporation; and (c) may be recovered by the corporation as a debt due to it by the person.
