Section 1070R — Social Security Act 1991: Rate for certain parenting payments

(1) The person’s rate of rent assistance is worked out under this section if the rate of the person’s social security payment is to be calculated in accordance with Benefit PP (Partnered) Rate Calculator. (2) Using the table below, work out which family situation applies to the person and calculate rate A for the person using the formula in column 3. This is the person’s rate of rent assistance per fortnight but only up to the person’s maximum rent assistance rate. The person’s maximum rent assistance rate is rate B worked out using column 4 of the table.
