Section 1137AA — Social Security Act 1991: Need for a request for a home equity access scheme advance payment

(1) A person who wants to receive a home equity access scheme advance payment must make a request for the payment in accordance with this section. (2) A request under subsection (1) must specify the amount of home equity access scheme advance payment requested. Note: There are limits to the amount that can be paid: see subsection 1134A(2). (3) The request must be signed: (a) if the person is not a member of a couple—by the person; or (b) if the person is a member of a couple—by both members of the couple. (4) The request must be: (a) in writing; and (b) in a form approved by the Secretary.
