Section 18 — Social Security Act 1991: Parenting payment definitions

In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears: benefit PP (partnered) means parenting payment whose rate is worked out under the Benefit PP (Partnered) Rate Calculator in section 1068B. non-benefit PP (partnered) means non-benefit PP (partnered) under this Act as in force immediately before the commencement of the A New Tax System (Family Assistance) (Consequential and Related Measures) Act (No. 1) 1999. parenting payment means: (a) pension PP (single); or (b) benefit PP (partnered). pension PP (single) means parenting payment whose rate is worked out under the Pension PP (Single) Rate Calculator in section 1068A.
