Section 575 — Social Security Act 1991: Waiting periods

(1) An austudy payment is not payable to a person who is qualified for an austudy payment while the person is subject to a waiting period. (2) For the purposes of this Part, a person may be subject to the following waiting periods: (a) a liquid assets test waiting period (see sections 575A, 575B and 575C); (b) a newly arrived resident’s waiting period (see sections 575D and 575E).
