Section 914B — Social Security Act 1991: Disregard nil rate in certain circumstances

(1) For the purposes of section 914 or 914A, a person is taken to receive a social security payment at a rate greater than nil even if the person’s rate would be nil merely because: (a) an election by the person under subsection 1061VA(1) is in force; or (b) the person has been paid an advance pharmaceutical allowance under the social security law. (2) For the purposes of section 914 or 914A, if a social security payment is payable to a person because of subsection 23(1D), the person is taken to receive that payment at a rate greater than nil.
