Section 96 — Social Security Act 1991: Continuation of disability support pension

(1) This section applies to a person if: (a) the person is receiving disability support pension; and (b) the person would, apart from this section, cease to be qualified for disability support pension because the person obtains paid work that is for: (i) at least 15 hours per week; but (ii) less than 30 hours per week. (2) A person to whom this section applies continues to be qualified for disability support pension. (3) However, subsection (2) does not apply if, apart from that subsection, the person would cease to be qualified for disability support pension for the reason described in paragraph (1)(b) in the period: (a) starting when the person becomes a reviewed 2008-2011 DSP starter as defined in subsection 94(5); and (b) ending at the first time, after the person becomes a reviewed 2008-2011 DSP starter, at which the Secretary reviews the determination granting disability support pension to the person.
