Section 166 — Social Security (Administration) Act 1999: Exercise by Secretary of powers under section 192

Text of the provision Official document

(1) The ART may ask the Secretary to exercise the Secretary’s powers under section 192 if the ART reasonably believes that a person will be able to give information, or produce a document, that is relevant to an ART review of a decision. (2) The Secretary must comply with a request under subsection (1) as soon as practicable and, in any event, within 7 days after the request is made. (3) Section 191A does not apply to the Secretary when complying with a request under subsection (1).
