Section 200 — Social Security (Administration) Act 1999: Offence—failure to give end-of-employment statement

(1) If a person makes a request under section 199, the former employer must comply with the request as soon as practicable. Penalty: Imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months. (2) Strict liability applies to the element of an offence against subsection (1) that a request is a request under section 199.
