Section 233 — Social Security (Administration) Act 1999: Exclusion of imprisonment as penalty for certain offences

In spite of any other provision of the social security law, if: (a) a person is convicted of an offence; and (b) the person would not have been convicted if sections 231 and 232 had not been in force; the person is not liable to be punished by imprisonment for that offence.
