Section 42AS — Social Security (Administration) Act 1999: Relationship with section 80

Nothing in this Division affects the power of the Secretary to cancel or suspend a participation payment under section 80. Note: However, the Secretary cannot suspend or cancel a participation payment under that section on the basis that the participation payment is not, or was not, payable because of the operation of this Division (see paragraph 80(1)(b)).
