Section 156 — Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986: Date of operation of decision by Board

(1) Except where: (a) the Board affirms the decision under review; or (b) the Board sets aside the decision under review and makes a decision in substitution for the decision set aside that has the effect only of revoking a decision of the Commission to cancel or suspend a pension; the Board shall specify in its decision on a review the date from which its decision is to operate, being a date fixed in accordance with section 157. (2) Where the Board sets aside the decision under review and makes, in substitution for the decision set aside, a decision that has the effect only of revoking a decision of the Commission to cancel or suspend a pension, the decision to cancel or suspend the pension shall be deemed never to have had any force or effect.
